Who we are

Volga Track is a dispatch and load-tracking platform operated by JT Freight Logistics LLC ("Volga Track," "we," "us"), used by our dispatchers, admins, drivers, and the carriers and brokers we work with. This policy explains what information we collect through the Volga Track mobile app and web dashboards, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Account and business information. Name, contact details, and company information for dispatchers, admins, drivers, carriers, and brokers using the platform.

Precise location data. If you're a driver, the app collects your device's precise GPS location only while you have tracking turned on. You control this — tracking does not run in the background before you start it or after you stop it, and you'll see an explicit explanation the first time you turn tracking on, separate from your phone's own location permission prompt.

Location shared through a link. A freight broker using Volga Track can send you a link asking for your current location. You don't need an account or the app. If you open it and tap “Share my location,” your phone's current location and the time are sent to that broker, one time for each tap. Nothing keeps running afterward, and the broker can turn the link off at any time.

Load and shipment information. Pickup/delivery details, status updates, and related records tied to loads dispatched through the platform.

Device and usage information. Device identifiers and push notification tokens (so we can send you load and dispatch alerts), and basic usage/diagnostic data used to keep the app working reliably.

How we use this information

We use this information to operate the dispatch and tracking platform: assigning and tracking loads, sharing a driver's live location with dispatch and with the specific broker or customer for that load, sending notifications about new loads or dispatch updates, and maintaining shipment records.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not sell precise geolocation data, period. Location data is used to operate the service you or your company signed up for, not shared with unrelated third parties or data brokers.

Who we share it with

Location and load information for a given shipment is visible to the dispatcher managing that load and the broker or customer that load belongs to — the parties who already have a legitimate reason to see it, not the general public. A location you share through a broker's link is visible only to the broker who sent that link. We may also share information where required by law, or with service providers who help us operate the platform (for example, cloud hosting, notification delivery and error monitoring, which receives technical crash reports with private link codes removed) under obligations to protect it.

How long we keep it

Raw, precise location history, including locations shared through a broker's link, is kept for 90 days, then automatically deleted. Load-level records (such as when a shipment was picked up or delivered) may be kept longer as part of normal business and shipment records. Account information is kept for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward for legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution purposes.

Your choices and rights

Location tracking is opt-in and driver-controlled — you decide when it's on. You can stop tracking at any time from the app.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information. Drivers can delete their account and unlink their device at any time using "Delete Account" in the app's Settings — this immediately stops tracking and revokes the device's access. You can also make a request by emailing us at support@volgatrack.com.

Where this applies

Volga Track works with drivers, dispatchers, and brokers across multiple states, including states with comprehensive privacy laws. Rather than applying different rules to different users, we apply the protections in this policy — opt-in consent for location tracking, no sale of location data, and a defined retention limit — consistently, regardless of which state you're in.

Not an Hours-of-Service / ELD device

Volga Track is a dispatch visibility tool. It is not an Electronic Logging Device (ELD) and does not satisfy FMCSA Hours-of-Service compliance requirements, which require a device connected to a vehicle's engine control module. Carriers subject to Hours-of-Service rules must use a certified ELD in addition to, not instead of, Volga Track.

Security

We use industry-standard measures — including encrypted connections and access controls limiting who can see what data — to protect the information we hold. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information protected and to only expose it to the parties who need it.

Children's privacy

Volga Track is a business tool for dispatchers, drivers, carriers, and brokers, and is not directed at or knowingly used by children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify affected users directly.
